I see that the burn process failed. What exactly is the problem (other than the burn process failed)? What is being burned?

This ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ is the link to Nero's support page. You can scroll down and select Nero 6 in either the FAQ's or the support form. To enter the form, Nero asks for a bunch of info, like Nero version number (in your case it's 6.6.0.16b), an email address, name, and so on. You can upload the log file you posted here, and the fine folks at Nero will help you out. In the meantime, I'll look over your lengthy log and see if it reveals anything that may help you and I'll post if I find anything.....

It looks like there might be a problem with the source disk. It could be scratched or otherwise damaged and Nero is having a problem reading it.

Hopperdave makes a good suggestion. I think Nero has error codes on their site.

I was thinking it was the source disk myself but the disk didn't even have fingerprint on it.

She's trying to duplicate a homemade video disk. Her mother converted old VHS tapes of my friends child years to media player files and now my friend wants to make a couple of copies for safe keeping. She plans on one to go to a safety deposit box, another in a fire proof safe, ect.

roflmao at the fire proof safe.

It doesn't have to be physicaly damaged. Depending on the program her Mom used, Nero could have trouble reading the information on the disk.

Try copying the files on the disk to a folder on your hard drive and letting Nero burn from the folder.

Well apparently it goes all of the way through until the very end when it is finalizing the disk then it gives the error

Have you checked the burnt disk?

Sometimes the Finalizing the disk process will give you a false error.
