If you're looking for something funny to watch ( and it is somewhat a western theme ) checkout The Ranch on Netflix. I found it very funny/witty.

Thanks, Charlie. We watched it for a little while, but found the canned laugh track annoying.

    Elementary (good twist on Sherlock)
    The Magicians
    Z-Nation (hilarious zombie series)
    ZOO
    Castle
    Once Upon a Time
Emerald City (twist on Wizard of OZ)
Blue Bloods (Tom Selleck and Mark Walberg are great)
    The Last Ship
    Quantico
The 100 (could this be our distant future)
    BULL
    Better Call Saul

'The Walking Dead' was a great show, pre-Negan. I don't know why this fate has befallen the ratings, but since he came on the show, to say the series has been a mixed bag would be a kinder way of calling it crap. It also seems that the producer of the show isn't very well liked anymore. I'm not saying I don't like Negan, but the emphasis on great drama is slipping a lot nowadays.

Too much focus is on the war now. The zombies feel more like backseat passengers at the moment. It's like they just appear from time to time so viewers don't forget the show was originally about zombies, and not communities battling other communities. I know that the comics are massive and there's more they can do. It's just how to go around doing all this.

I either watch, have watched or tried to watch a bunch of those. Love Elementary, Once Upon a Time, The last Ship, Quantico, the 100 and Bull. I started The Magicians and couldn't get into it.

I just finished Longmire's last episode and am so sad it's over. I loved that show.

TimW, we just started Dexter last night. Damn, that's a weird show. lol I'll have to give that one a couple of more episodes to see.

If you're a fan of The Twilight Zone, then Black Mirror would be worth checking out. You can watch the episodes in any order as each one is completely self-contained. Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return (after all, who isn't a fan of MST3K) is also really good as well as White Rabbit Project (hosted by the old Mythbusters "Build Team") although both the aforementioned are only 1 season long.

A friend of mine really loves this series. She mentioned that I had to watch it 3 times. Finally after the third time of her telling me, I figured I'd give it a try.

Weirdest show I've seen in a long time. It gets great reviews and I get it, but it was way too weird for me. I gave it two episodes.

I'm enjoying Altered Carbon at the moment; the plot is a bit convoluted.

I am LOVING Altered Carbon. I read this series when it came out 10-15 years ago and absolutely loved them. Probably one of my favorite series. Hardcore cyberpunk Science Fiction. I don't find it convoluted at all, but I think it's because I read the books (which isn't really a good thing for a show to do). My friend is watching and hadn't read them and really likes it but was having a hard time following at first.

Yes. I think that if I had read the story it would be easier to follow. I am really enjoying this series. Amazing special effects, and good acting. A nice homage to Blade Runner in some ways.

Black Mirror is really good. Every episode is one big plot twist. It's an anthology do you can start with any episode you want. It's okay if you don;t watch it chronologically.

    This.

Criminal Minds is one of those shows that frustrated me to no end by the time I stopped watching. It had so much potential for greatness, but it became repetitive, predicable, and relied far too heavily on cheap cinematic trick to try and create drama, when it should have just focused on hiring competent writers who knew how to write dialogue, and allowed the plot matter to shine instead. So much wasted potential.

They should get the writers from Longmire now that it's dead and gone. That was an amazing show.

lmao... I went to bed. I’m in Florida so I don’t know off hand. If you search your roku channels for Netflix it might pop up. Otherwise I’ll let you know this weekend. I paid through my Roku with a credit card. Just like if you were to pay for an app on your phone’s App Store.

    This might be it:
    https://channelstore.roku.com/details/57634/scout-for-netflix

It's an app so you do have to actually go to Netflix to watch after searching. You don’t get the annoying auto plays though which is also nice.

Forgot you were in Florida...the link is for viewing on your computer, yes?

No. I watch Netflix on a roku so I have the channel on my roku and use it on there like you would the actual Netflix channel. I find what I want and then just switch to Netflix

Ok... I added the channel to Roku and no notice of an extra fee. Opps activated and $1.99/ year. No problem....but it seems to have the same content as netflix.

Laura ...does this give you access to hidden content? Like the codes?

Since our TV has Netflicks we haven't used the ROKU in a long time. If it does unlock extra stuff we may get it too.

It seems easy enough to log into netflix on my computer, enter a code and find some content I want to see and then find it on netflix on my TV.

Entering codes on the computer is a lot less of a pain than on the TV. If I had a long enough HDMI cord I could hook it to the TV but I don't.

You don't need a cable. Just log into Netflix on the computer..../genre/(code) ...scroll for you choice, then go to tv netflix and do a search...your choice will come up.

I just looked at it as compared to those codes and yes, it has all those subdivisions.
