Netgear DG834 PPPoE Problems!

hi guys!

i have a problem with my netgear DG834 Firewall/Router!

my router only works on a PPPoA Connection but with PPPoE it connects to the internet but i cant load webpages. i change it back to PPPoA and everything works fine!

my main point is that i would like my router to work on a PPPoE Connection as it is encouraged by my ISP! is there anyway i could configure it to work?

could any of u guys help me! it would be greatly appreaciated guys!!!

Who is your ISP? What country are you in?

How do you determine that the internet works on a PPPoE connection when it cannot connect to webpages? Does your router get a WAN IP address? When it's connected via PPPoE, can you ping 4.2.2.2 through a DOS prompt(Start --> Run --> Type "command" and press OK. Type "ping 4.2.2.2" and press enter)....from your router (if possible)?

i can ping to my router but still no luck!

Well, you didn't answer all of my questions.....

However, if it is working on PPPoA, are you experiencing any difficulties? If not, I wouldn't worry about it! "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

 

...Not to mention you can typically only connect using one type of connection type (PPPoA or PPPoE).
