Network error: Nik Collection

    Anybody able to help, please?

    I've been trying for three days to download the trial version of Google's Nik Collection image editing software.

    Every time the downloader runs to the end - it takes between 2-3 hours, and appears to complete. Then a message appears saying: Network error.

    I've tried using an ethernet cable. I've disabled firewall and anti-virus. I've cleared cache.

    Still the same result.

    Google are no use, they do not respond to request for help. rolleyes

    Dell Inspiron laptop, Windows 7 Home, 32 bit.

    I went to the site and found that there are hardware and software compatibility criteria that your computer may not meet (scroll to the bottom to view the criteria)..

    I think the link mdonah posted is great and the spec sheet for these, and I hate to call them image editors as in the true sense of the word they are not they are more filters or "add-ons" and "plug-ins" for some of Adobe's range of editors.

    Most of Adobe's range are expensive, but unless you have any of the range listed

    Then these add-ons are not going to work, that said the hardware spec is a high one too as the GPU's are mid to high end ones, and usually on a laptop the GPU is a low to mid one, depending on the spec of laptop.

    Network side, the download is a large-ish one at 425MB so what type of internet speed do you have in the house? What browser are you using? Try using a downloading helper app and see if that helps and this one is ok Eagleget (just use to see if you can download the full installer file)
