    Good morning everyone,
I have a couple of hard drives that came out of a linksys efg-80 NAS unit that stopped working-when I hook the drives to my computer with a usb to IDE adapter it says the partition is unrecognized and asks if i want to format the drive which i don't because i want to keep the stuff on my drives-any suggestions on how to recover the data off of these drives would be greatly appreciated-thanks-
this my first post-I hope i did it right

you will probably find that the drives are formatted in Ext3 format, try using explore2fs
