    I was willing to connect the two computers directly, but the cable I have is not a crossover. :( I can connect both computers to a cable internet box, though. How do I set up the network on the Win98SE and Win11/64 computers? BTW, I just realized that I have the info for both open in my browser. I'd better look at them. :)

    I'm at my mother's house right now and am able to get the wire to connect the PCs. I have two computers to connect but may soon want to connect a third. I soon want to connect a third using a bridged USB cable.

    Harry, don't take this the wrong way, it is not meant as derogatory, but your are a strange bird. But I do admire your persistence.

    Some early Win 7 computers didn't have an Ethernet connection, or it was an option; it is even less to have WiFi capability.
