Network Printing Problem

    Trying to connect to an HP Lasejet and install on a PC. Router sees Printer, can PING to printers IP address but it doesnt show up when I try to "Add Network Printer". Checked Firewall - OK, Checked Router - OK. Operating system is XP and use a standard Netgear Router. Any ideas? Printer has static IP

    Tried.. add printer, select local, uncheck search for my printer, add a port for tcp/ip type in the address of the printer and Windows will find it and ask for a driver and your done.
