There are 4 laptops connected to a Bigpond supplied router/modem. Its the one that comes with a standard Bigpond ADSL connection (Thomson Speedtouch).

All the laptops can access the interenet through the router/modem with no problems. When I setup the network to share files/printers between the laptops it worked fine (after some initial problems).

But recently, yesterday and today, one of the laptops (Lap1) seems to be blocked or something from others seeing it. Lap1 can still see and access the other's shared files but no one else can see it on the network. It can also still access the internet. As a test, I disabled the firewall (Norton) and also checked that the WinXP firewall was turned off but still no result.

Can anyone suggests any solutions to this problem?

If you've set some sharing ...may have to map the drive ...may want to check the permissions ....assuming all are xp.

Go to the TCP/IP settings on each machine and select "Enable NETBIOS over TCP/IP" and reboot each machine and see if that helps your problem
