NetWorking a XP and 98 SE (wirelessly)

Hello all,

I trying to network for the first time. I have Sprint DSL (sprint modem as well), a Net Gear 54 Mbps Wireless Router WGR614, ZyXEL wireless PCI Adapter

Machine 1 - XP nearly new.

Machine 2 98 SE - I thought it was dead and buried. I plug it in a volia! It works.

I believe I successfully congiured the router, although I did it twice. The first time I used WPA and I think it caused a problem. The second time I used WEP and it saved the settings.

On to the Machine 2. I believe I stalled the ZyXEL PCI correctly. Although, I having doubts.

Back to Machine 1, I used the Wireless Network Wizard. I have a small problem sending the information to flashdrive instead on floppy? I was able to redirect and send the info to my flashdrive.

Back to Machine 2, I insert my flashdrive and I get commpatiblity issues. I have enter the configuration seeting manually. Since I have zerp idea what they are I try another approach.

Back at Machine 1, I use the plain Network wizard and save the settings to my flashdrive.

Onward to Machine 2, I attach my flashdrive, click on the setup file and it INSTALLS( Least I think) I'm able to connect to the internet. Then it stops, dead as a doornail.

Was my installation bad? 98SE-related problems? I though maybe it was caused my router/firewall software?

Any help?
