Networking problems.

I recently moved back home and we got a wireless connection there. Since my pc doesnt have a wireless connection, I tried the following to get internet from my laptop on my pc:

My laptop has a wireless connection, thus being able to surf the web and do whatever I should be able to do with internet. Then I set up a lan between my laptop and my pc. On my pc I set my laptops ip adress as default gateway (just using the normal 192.168.0.1 (laptop) and x.x.x.2 (pc). The network is working, I can ping normally an get reaction. On the other hand I cannot connect to my pc by typing //192.168.0.2 and I can't use the internet on my pc.

I did set my pc as a connected to the internet through another comp. And on my laptop I set it as directly connected to the internet.



Anyone with an idea of what I'm doing wrong here? Help would be really appreciated!

 

I know got the following working:

I can acces files on my pc from my laptop but when trying to acces files on my laptop from my pc, I get a login screen in need of a password.

Don't know if this is good, but maybe of some use.

 

I used other ip adresses and got it working now... read somewhere that 192.168.0.x isnt the best option to use
