General overview of the setup... 3 computers, all wireless through a Linksys router, one running 2000, the other two Vista Home Premium.

Networking has worked at one point, but has stopped.

One of the Vista machines, mine, is unable to do pretty much anything intranet related, I can't seem to communicate with any of the other computers. I CAN access the internet. However, I am not sure how even that is working, because I can't even ping the router. I can't ping either of the other two computers, and I cannot ping the modem. I can get to both the modems and the routers web pages, though. I get "general error" for all ping attempts. If I go to the network, however, the router shows, my computer shows, and the other vista computer shows, but not the 2000 computer. If I try to explore the other vista computer, though, I get an error. It simply says windows cannot access //computername.

Furthermore... If I use Trend Micro's wireless home network monitor, I get varied results, but I know that at least once both the 2000 computer and the other vista computer showed. For some reason it appeared to show the router offline, or something. It wasn't able to show computer names or any other information, which it usually does.

pretty much, I'm just stumped, and don't know what to try.

Edit: Note though, that the trend micro thing has always given varied results... Like, now for instance, I can scan for computers on the network, and I get fairly accurate information. It shows the router and one of the other computers by MAC address and IP address, and it shows something as "offline", but doesn't give the usual information including computer name and device type.

Just a little update... Many more things have gone wrong since I posted here the other night.

A few things that have happened. First, I was able to, for a brief moment, access the other computers like normal by turning off the firewall in Trend Micro. I don't know why this would have been causing problems because I haven't changed any settings in it.

Once when I tried accessing another computer on the network I got a blue screen of death about some sort of networking adapter problem I think and it said that windows was being shut down to protect something or another, and the computer rebooted before I was able to read or remember what it said.

Since then... The other computers on the network started having troubles concerning the networking as well. At first I was convinced it was only a problem with my computer, but this prompted me to examine the things that would effect the entire network, the router and modem. I checked them and they were extremely hot. I shut everything down, moved the modem so that it wasn't sitting on top of the router and getting so hot, and started everything back up. Everything is working normally now but I still have my firewall off.
