Hello, I have a home network through a broadband router. I have a desktop with Win2000 and a laptop with Win98. I had set up a home network through the netbeui protocol about a year ago, and everything worked fine. I recently reformatted my laptop (with win98), and have been unable to access the network (I get "Unable to browse network. The network is not accessible..." error when trying to click on Entire Network. I have TCP/IP and NetBeui installed on both computers. It is set to Client for Microsoft Networks. I know I had its possible as I had it working before, but need some help setting it up again. I am able to access my laptop from my desktop (I copied some files already), and am able to successfully ping the other computer from both.

PS The laptop also has PWS (Personal Web Server) installed and running; it did not have this previously.

The Win2000 also has an account set up for the Win98 laptop.

so 98 will not see 2k? In 98 do a find computer... seems silly but it has fixed many issues like this for me.

Find computer did not work. I just reformatted and the first thing I installed on first boot was netbeui. Now all works. Thanks.
