    Hey

I have a dell desktop, on to which I installed Ubuntu (latest)
I have a Nintendo WiFi USB Adaptor which I had installed on Windows(converted drivers so that it would work as a reciever). Upon installing Ubuntu, it automatically installed the drivers for the adapter, which was good. With my router, it goes blazingly fast. But, my neighbor gave me permission to use his(because mine is so old, it craps out alot). It crawls along so slowly.

In Windows, my neighbor's signal goes really fast. So what could the problem be?

Try this thread on the ubuntuforums

You have a ralink card. Works better in Windows than Unix as it is a Winmodem.
