new and shiny :)

got out of bed the earliest in several months this morning, after being woken up by the doorbell... new laptop has arrived :drool

nothing particularly expensive, but it is more than 3x more powerful than our old one :-D however, mum has placed a look, don't touch rule on it :cry

 

on it now :drool its a dell inspiron 1545 in black because that meant we got £200 off the price :-D loaded with windows 7 instead of vista yay!!! (had a minor panic when i read the instruction manual earlier and it said vista - this was the closest i was allowed to get) so its running fantasically only let down is that it came with mcafee, but i guess i can live with that

laura, no kidding this wayyy better than xmas :drool but why does the postman have to torture me by coming so early? he could have come at about 3 so i didnt have to sit looking at the box all day til mum came home :cry

looks like i've got the all clear to run them

one thing though: to install office, we bought a pack, and extra (2nd) lisence the other year, and the puter with the 2nd lisence died, so how do i now intall a legit onto the new LT? can't boot th old one to remove it, so any suggestions, or should it be pretty straight forward?
