I have noticed a new application is listed in my PC’s start menu. I do not know what it is and I have definitely not downloaded it. I cannot find it listed under: C:\Program Files nor under C:\Program Files (x86). I have run Belarc Advisor and it does not appear under the list of my applications. I decided to simply uninstall it but it was not listed on either Revo Uninstaller or Glary Utilies’ Uninstall Manager. I have looked at a list of Apps in Settings and it seems it appeared on my PC yesterday (15/10/2025) and is from Microsoft. I attach a screenprint of what its icon looks like on my PC’s start menu. Can anybody please advise me what this is?

Yes, it was installed during an update most likely. It is a legit Microsoft app. It requires a Microsoft account to use. They say it is used for safety for you family, with things like content filters, and time limits for users.

Thanks for the reply. It really annoys me that Microsoft think they can do what they want with your PC. I shan't be bothering with this app.
