New At Outlook & a Question

    I am new at using Outlook. I am using it because of a PDA that was given to me. What I would like to know is there a way to make sure a reminder will sound for an event or an appointment even if Outlook is not running? I know when I used Palm Desktop this could be done. Hoping that there is a simple solution.
