Here is the setup I have:

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 LGA 1156 Intel P55 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
    PNY Quadro FX580 512 MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card
    Antec TP-550 550W Power Supply
    Intel i7-860 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W quad Core processor
    G.Skill 240 Pin DDR3 SD RAM 2200 Memory 4GB (2 x 2GB)
2-Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drives
LG DVD Burner SATA Model GH24LS50

As a Note the case comes with 4 fans: 1-240mm, 3-120mm

I put the system together and it ran smoothly for about 2-3 hours then shut down and hasn't started up since. The lights turn on and fans spin for maybe 1 second then shuts down for about 5-10 seconds then lights turn on and fans spin for 1 second again. This repeats until I unplug the power supply. I have gone through disconnecting everything including taking the board out of the case to eliminate shorts. I removed the CMOS battery for 15 minutes. Motherboard lights keep turning on for 1 second, off for about 5 then on for 1 again. Not sure if this is a power supply problem or a motherboard problem. Likely has to be one of the 2 if thats all that is connected at the present time.
    Anyone have good suggestions?

That's gotta hurt!:( Were you running a burn-in app ATT? Of course you checked all connections 5 times by now.;) Not even a beep out of the sucker? Did you monitor your CPU temps? Certainly does sound like a PSU issue, anyway to test it under load or borrow an equivalent? DOA's are rare for Antecs but it does happen. Good luck.:)

Not sure what you mean by burn-in app ATT? Yes did check connections probably more than 50 times now ;) There is no onboard speaker that I can see so I don't think it could beep. I can't get it going enough to get a reading on the CPU Temp but even after it cools down it would start up again right? Unfortunately I don't have anything to test with other than buying another one.

Here is what is strange though. After my first post I went back and plugged in a few more things to try it one more time and wouldn't you know it worked again for a short while then just died again. Now I can't get any response at all out of it. No lights come on on the motherboard and the fans don't spin at all. I had an optical mouse plugged into a USB port and that stays on when I plug in the power supply but thats the only sign of life I get now. Is my power supply not strong enough maybe? Could I need more than 550W?

Did you use thermal paste on the CPU when assembling your machine?
    Correct amount?

I did use thermal paste on the CPU. It appears to be spread evenly across.

A burn-in app stresses your machine to full load in all areas, for example OCCT to find out sub-par components and gives you reports. May as well have something fail under stress when there is plenty of warranty time left.

I would think the 550W is enough as I power a pair of 9800GT's with an Antec 500W. I can't find the Quaddro specs for power anywhere, finding out how many 12V amps that takes would help, though it's not even a dual-slot nor does it seem to require auxiliary 6-pin power.

Is there a place that I could find how many 12V amps it takes? It does not ssay in the paperwork that came with the processor. I do have it running again after disconnecting everything again and reattaching. Somewhere in the BIOS? I just don't plan on leaving it on very long for the time being until I can find out if it is an overheating issue or a PSU issue. When it was running the temps did not go above 45C so I don'tthink thats the problem but I will test more tomorrow.

Well I got it to run so I left it running in the BIOS to keep an eye on the temperatures and it never went above 45C but still shut off after 30 minutes. Doesn't look like an overheating problem to me.
Seems like each time this happens in order to get it going again I need to pop out the CMOS battery and anything else plugged into the motherboard and leave it unplugged for awhile then its starts up ok again. I had it running again for roughly the same amount of time outside of the case so there doesn't appear to be a short from the case. I bought a new power supply (rocketfish 1000W, just because thats the only one I could find to test with) and will hook that up to see if thats the problem. If not is there anything else I can test to find the problem?

I wouldn't trust that RocketFish PSU.

RocketFish may be a good brand but I've never herd of them.

Also a 1000w PSu is way overkill for that system.
