New Car :)

Hello everyone,

Very excited

Got myself a new car the other day, done some work on it and its now going for its MOT

Volvo 480 Turbo.

Will get some pictures up once I've had the bottoms of the doors sorted

Nice car, C.Q. I have and old 740 GLE in one of the garages. Still runs strong.:cool

 

I'm looking at the new Taurus SHO.. just in the looking stages though. lol I love Volvo's though.. Awesome.

 

Is that the 1.7 turbo engine? I was contemplating one of these a while ago, great cars!

Good looking car, CQ. Just one question, how come the headlights ain't on?

@JOTS - Because I need to clean the inside of the lenses so it doesn't look as pretty with them up.

@Mimsy - A Turbo? ES? GT? I often see on ebay the 2.0 ES's in red, seems to be a popular colour. Same goes for the Turbos in white.

Next week she is coming off the road, going into dads works garage, engine out.

Going to get a new clutch on as mine is slipping like theres no tomorrow, I have some rather expensive oil and filter waiting to go in, a full timing belt kit to go on.

Some wires behind the dash set on fire and stranded me 200mi from home but with some snipps and some elecy tape got home, so need to take the fuse box out and make a new loom for that part of the loom, then replacing all the dash lights that have gone out.

 

Do you happen to know the bhp and torque stats for these?

 

something like 125bhp and 175 torque

Problem is, since I know nothing about cars I can't really buy one on eBay, since I'd still have to pay someone a fortune to fix it up for me.

@Mimsy - Are you in the UK? I could help you get one? But the Turbos are abit hard to come across I was looking for one for ages kept missing them on ebay and pistonheads then that found the one I have now LOCAL!!! lol It had been behind a car dealership for 4 years just sitting there not moving at all, he took it in part exchange and never got it sold!

 

If I was in the UK I'd take you up on that offer, but I'm in the US...

 

Awww unlucky.

Tell you one thing, parts are bloody expensive lol
