i got a new UL30A Thin and Light Notebook
and the directions don't say anything about the battery

it's advertised as having a 10 hour battery life, so I want to make sure I get this right and dont affect the battery life

do I need to charge it for 24 hours before using it?

    thanks guys:p

In the absence of proper instructions or Quick Start Guide, it's always recommended that you charge your new battery for X number of hours.
Depending on the battery, that can be 8 hours, or 12 hours or even 24 hours.

But it's kind of redundant, since most people use their laptops at home or in their office where they can leave it plugged into the AC Power Supply / Charger all the time anyway. That's actually the recommended way to use it. The display will be brighter and the unit will (usually) run faster.

    YES, overnight should do it.

Now you just need to get all the Demo's, Trial's and Spyware deleted off of the PC. Well, that's food for a completely new topic.

    Good Luck,
    :cool
