New connection to router

    Hi,

    just had to do a full reinstall due to a nasty virus on my pc and im getting everything set back up. however when to comes to doing this stuff I have all the ability of a common housebrick.

    would someone be kind enough to run me through it?

    connection is from my pc to a router by wire.
