New Custom Rig Issues ("Other Devices") and RAID

Hello,

I just built a new rig from scratch and I've got some problems and don't know where to start looking for help. I'll post the questions, then post images of my Device Manager showing the problems followed by a CPU-Z Processor report and a Belarc Advisor system report for your reference.

It's a long post and I appreciate your patience in advance.

I have questions regarding the following issues:



1) I decided not to set up a Raid 5 and connected four hard drives to it’s own SATA port (1 -4) and yet the Silicon Image Raid shows up in the POST and in my device manager under Raid Controllers, yet I have NO RAID.

2) Also, during the POST my hard drives are described as IDE devices, shouldn’t they be SATA devices?

3) My device manager shows 3 (three) separate “Other Devices”

a. Other PCI Bridge Device

b. PCI Memory Controller

c. SM Bus Controller

What are these “Other devices” and why do they have Exclamation Point in the Question Mark?

BTW - I only have one video card installed.

All of that post was for nothing. Problem solved.

The raid function was disabled in the Bios to fix the raid issue.

The Other devices were fixed by downloading and installing the Nvidia 6.66 driver package for everything except the Ethernet driver - I left that to the on board Lan.

In other words:
