New->folder Problem

Yeah, I know - not much of a title but it is what the problem is about.

First - this is NOT a "Oh my! My "Folder" option has disappeared.

I got tired of doing the "Right-Single-Click->Select New->Select Folder" kind of thing. I wanted to just be able to "Right->Single-Click->New Folder" and TA-DA! A new folder would appear selected so I could change the name of it to whatever. Well, I've gotten about 50% of the way there. I figured out how to add a command to all of my menus. I made the command (of all things) "New->Folder". Yeah, very original - I know - I know. The command works - but it won't select the folder and let me just change the name. I have to Double-Left-Click on the folder (called New_Folder) and change the name.

How can I fix this? I'm not all that familiar with the Registry (as in I don't edit it on a daily basis and memorize all of those funky numbers in braces) but I have done some things like make my DVD drive open up or close with just a Right-Single-Click and select either "Open CD" or "Close CD", but this has got me.

I just watched a YouTube video on restoring the missing "Folder" from the "New..." submenu but it didn't have what I needed and the above open/close commands simply make use of NirSoft's program that does the open/close stuff.

So anyway - any idea how to make it select the folder? Or maybe I went down the wrong rabbit hole in creating the folder. I just used "MKDIR New_Folder".

Ok, After searching the HOW TOs I have found the entry that does this. Now I just have to remove what I did. Ugh. Thanks guys for a wonderful website with TONs on HOW TOs!
