New Graphics Card Help

Hi there

I've been running on-board graphics for a few weeks on a new PC but the PC couldn't handle it and kept turning the screen off as the CPU was over-heating. So, I've installed a new Radeon 4gb card and the screen has been fine and I can now run Kodi.......however....

The only problem I have is in Device Manager, it shows the new card and the old one I've disabled but it is showing up as an error (see pic) Perhaps I am being fussy but I don't like anything wrong on DM. Is it possible to remove the on-board graphics card from the list by uninstalling it or will a reboot simply re-install it?

In DM. If you R/click on the onboard graphic card. Look at propertys. If the box shows this is disabled. then I would think not to worry.

Thru the years, installing new graphic cards. I always disable the on-board. Un-install usually brings it back. Enabled.

And always read the directions on an install. Some call to install the driver and program before or after the card is installed.

 

Before tab browsers came into play. I would get a 2nd graphics card. Operate 2 monitors at the same time. One off the on-board and the other one from the new card. Have another monitor?

 

No, only the one monitor. 27" LCD. I will leave the error as it is then.
