New guitar design

Some of you may remember my guitar project from 2 years ago, on a standard Stagg electric from dyed blue woodstain to purple.

This summer, I've worked on an Epiphone Special series which was plain black and now has a new design which was finished last week.

Looks like an orange B.B.Q. plate, with a big oil stain on it. :confused

IMO needs some (more) clear and some wetsanding/buffing to get out the "orange peel" It just seems a bit too textured unless that's what you're going for?

 

Looks sweet, can't wait to see it all put together

Nice mate BUT! "Im sorry!,just what I would do" is use about 3-4 coats of clear acrylic laquer all over it,before that though get some T-cut and buff it all once, it will take a tiny bit of paint off but will blend in the colours and smooth off bumps in the paint before the laquer for a better finish "hell maybe you have already"

Already coated in 5 coats of laquer

It plays a lot better now that the neck is cleaned up and I got some fresh strings on it
