New Hard Drive

    I'm putting a second hard drive in- picked up a 400 gig Seagate Barracuda for $70.00. It is an IDE and the cables are already in the tower. I'm confused on the installation and could use some help. I know i need to make one the master and one the slave , but don't know how to do it . do i also have to format it and partitsion it . :confused

    You allready know what to do, there are pins on the back where the ide cable plugs in, the new one needs to be set to slave, that hd will be on the second plugin on the ide cable. ed
