    It seems like we never got to see some personal things about Katrina, or some kind of documentary, etc. Just news which usually would only be in 10 minute blips, never really getting into it....

    I want to know if anyone has seen or knows about some coming out. I'd bet that they would have finished production recently, and now we will see them coming out.

    Wow, I cannot wait for tuesday now.

    ::::Starts freaking out::::

    I found out from another message board that court-tv is doing a NOPD katrina special. They have footage following the last remaining police right after the hurricane. HOLY MOLY, this is just what I was looking for!

    UPDATE!!

    I also heard that there is a documentary on the Sundance Channel,
    hosted by Brian Williams, who was in the Super Dome during Katrina.

    I hope this isnt just thrown together, I WANT A SOLID SHOW!!!!

    Part of me feels this way, but another part of me wants to see how the NOPD kept it together and what they dealt with. I mean, when everyone turned tail and ran, they stayed to help others. They are heroes.

    G.T. R.I.P February 4, 2007. You will be missed.

    Some of them are heroes. Some of them stayed and participated in looting, and something like 50 of them have been fired for deserting their posts. NOPD, like the rest of New Orleans, was pretty corrupt and not too tightly wrapped.

    Yes, VERY corrupt. The few that stayed seemed to be the minority of the city, but they really moved me when I was watching it. I cannot wait for the following special on it.

    Update:

    google "unexpected_heroes".

    Footage captured a band of regular people who are helping other survivors. Personally I would have left a long time before the hurricane hit land, but to STAY and help?

    should be good.... I hope it doesn't edit out the "unsettling" footage, America needs to see the reality of the situation

    A friend also told me of a special by National Geographic on the discovery channel airing. I always think of NG as top quality. I hope no one is upset that I am posting about this, watching them certainly will be a reality check, I think the news media "prettied" it up for us... This will be the real deal people..
