Just so you are aware, if you don't want to go thru the hassle of installing / uninstalling ZA pro, then get ZA free from Zonelabs.

Notice the "p" ? that stands for pro. Try it for yourself.

All my settings (trusted zones, 100+ programs granted varying levels of access, etc.) are gone because I had to uninstall pro and re-install free.

I believe the mistake is on your end. ZA Free and Pro have the same installer. Run the installer and you are given the option to try ZA Pro for 15 days or just install ZA Free. If you choose the ZA Pro trial and don't buy it, it reverts to ZA Free. You shouldn't have needed to uninstall it.

 

There's no dual-installer. Geeks had the wrong executable tied to the ZA free page. Period. End of discussion. Everyone makes mistakes.

I bring this to attention and all I get is flak. I wasn't trying to be a dick, but WTF is up with the denial? Fix the problem and move on.

 

Thank you! I'll use the rpt a bad link..link in the future, but to be honest, in 5 years of daily MG use, I've rarely run into a bad link. My bad for not using the proper channel to escalate this. Thanks for fixing.

As a sysop of a BBS, which is a much smaller endevor, I can tell you it isn't easy keeping up. Speaking of which, I'm hanging up my sysop hat, I'll be taking the old board down soon. It's been up since 94, which isn't a bad run.
