new member question

    how long would you say it normally takes for your first post to be approved or whatnot before it shows up on a thread. this one i have a feeling will go through faster than my first one i posted in the malware removal section.

    In malware it could be days. We have a select team. Any other forum could be minutes, hours or days depending on the question.

    Also, everyone here is volunteering their free time to do this, that will also play a factor into the length of time for an answer. :)

    Hi if you are talking about how long until someone answers your thread, that could be anywhere from 1 to a few days as Major Attitude said. Do not post again as that will knock you to the end of the line.

    However, if your thread went into moderation and needed to be approved to show up and That is what you were talking about, that has to do with who is on that can approve it. Usually it doesn't take that long as long as you don't post extremely late at night (US time). Sometime malware posts go into moderation because of the attachments and other things. I wouldn't worry about it. Someone will approve it.:)

    Typically the only time you need mod approval is Malware or swap meet as far as I know. Otherwise it's just however long it takes before someone who knows the answer appears.
