new mobo and proc :)

hey all.. im upgrading.. hopefully.. i have a budget of around $300 Canadian.. i was hoping to go for a amd.. this is what i had in mind:

but... i still have to buy a heatsink and ram.. btw i know what a sempron is.. and im just planning on using it till i can upgrade to a athlon xp 3000+ .... and hopefully ill get a new graphics card for christmas... ill have to use my old one till then (stupid tnt2... lol it was free) so what do you guys think... i think the mobo is sweet so.. give me your suggestions for anything else.. thanks in advance!!!

by the way.. i was hoping on overclocking a bit the mobo i have right now sucks... it doesnt overlcok at all

i dont know about that mobo. id go for a nforce chipset, but that should get the job done, if your set on it. (i dont like soyo products though...). sempron is AMDs new processor to replace the duron. It is built similar to an XP. Has 333 FSB. I havent got my hands on one yet to know how well they overclock

I've be wary of buying kit on ebay, too many horror stories there, and no warranty. A sempron is perfectly fine. Personally I dislike Soyo mainboards.

there's a list of bundles, you can get an abit board and sepmron for about the same price, and it's nforce based.
for about $10 more you can get the same abit nf7 board and an athlon xp 2500, that's barton core, and should clock well.
