new pc

i just got done talking to a friend and he is selling me is ...Broken... pc to me with all the parts in it for 50$ lol so im going to buy the system was built to handle games like WoW and he says its got a lot of good parts in it i havnt yet taken a look at it but the rig sounds good speacily for 50$ but he said that his uncle (who built it for him) said that there is a curpted page or somthing like that and my friend said that the hole pc freezes as the window's loading screen. so my question is this a simple easy to fix prob or is there some more to it and what is causing it is there somthing i need to replace?

 

Yea, You might be able to boot up a Windows OS and format/reinstall. If not you can try to repair the disk by using chkdsk. If that don't work harddrives are cheap. For another $50 you can get a new harddrive and download all the drivers off the net.

 

ya ill try that as for the chkdsk thing i dont thank i can do that idk yet i get the pc at 4pm today and ill check more into it and post an update but yeah lol this pc prob at most gonna cost me 100$. so i dont mind buying a new hdd becuz the ram he has in there alone cost more then 50$ lol
