New PC

Looking at getting a new PC from Costco. This one is $1000

If anyone has the time to critique this set up and maybe offer suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Basically used for internet and some games, but not the latest games.
(last one I bought was Half Life 2)

This one is $1300. Are the different chip, the bigger RAM, and the bigger Video card worth the extra?
