I'm running a GPU that requires a power supply stronger than the 150W power supply in my PC. I think it's burning it out. I'm going to upgrade my power supply, but I don't know which one to get. I was hoping you all could help me with some questions.

1. Are all PS standard so they will fit in my case?
2. 20 pin vs 24 pin vs 20 + 4 pin? I bought my PC in June of 2000, so I'm assuming it's 20 pin. Does this mean I can use 20 + 4 pin?
3. What do I need to worry about when choosing a power supply?
4. Do you have any recommendations for which power supply I should buy?
5. The new GPU I'm going to buy requires at least a 300 W PS.
6. I want a power supply that is as quiet as possible.
7. I run maybe 2 PCI devices (Ethernet, GPU), 2 DVD RW drives, floppy drive, 512MB RAM, one other fan, pentium III processor.

Here's the current PS I have:

Here are the specs for my PC:

Thank you so much in advance for you help!

#1 If your original PSU was ATX format, then yes, it will fit.
#2 Yes
#3 You don't have much to worry about as your power needs are minimal,
#4 A quality $40 PSU will probably outlast your system.
#5 Post the video card you want to use. You sure it is compatible with your mobo?
#6 The main guys all have quiet ones now.
#7 Don't worry about that, the main thing is your GPU. I have a great Thermaltake 350W and a 420W though I don't know if they still make them. I'll check for you.

EDIT to #1, I see you have a micro-ATX case.

Micro ATX is essential the same form factor as standard ATX, only with smaller wattage and physical size. A standard ATX power supply would work in a Micro ATX case if the physical dimensions fit. You'll have to wait for someone better qualified than me to answer that one,
