New Rca converter box shuts off in literally one minute!

    This is def an old question regarding converter boxes...but we just got one for an old TV. It's an RCA converter box and for some reason it will shut off by itself (literally one minute!) We have tried to disable the power setting, but it continues turning off! It will also change channels by itself! Do we need to take it back, or is there something we can do? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
