New tabs aren't working.

When I use CTRL+Click to open a new tab, the tab will never load, and niether will it give a the "failed to load" screen. It just keeps "loading" forever and ever. The URL in the bar does not change to what the new URL should be, but the display name on the tab does. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v483/cheetah7985/TabError.png

Right clicking and selecting "Open in a new tab" yields the same result. I can still use multiple tabs at once. I can't open new tabs from current tabs. I have tried operating IE without add-ons, and have also tried disabling and re-enabling tabbed browsing, but those did not work. I am using IE 8 and this is a new, out of the blue problem. Virus scan comes clean. All help is appreciated! Thank you.

 

That did work, thank you very much! What search phrase did you use? I was unable to find anything useful with "IE 8 tabs not working" and other minor variations.
