New to Video Capture ... No Sound

Hi all :waveI just purchase a TVR PCI TV Tuner Card ...

It's a Sabrent SAA 7130 I get video fine, but no sound ...:confused the instruction don't give much info on how to hook up a VCR ... I can't hook up the audio from the vcr to the audio on the card because the plugs are different ... and I see no adapter ... I have the line in from the computer hook into the audio out on the card, but no sound ... can anyone help me with this?

 

Well I have used a Leadtek PCI TV capture card and have a video card with TV capture built in. The connections are slighlty different but perhaps the following video will provide you with the guidance that you require.

:waveI saw the video ... thanks for posting by the way ... and did some more research and looks like I do need an adapter to hook the VCR up to the capture card ... so I have to get cables with RCA jacks and the mini jack ... I would have thought the manufacturer would have stated that:confused, but nope ...rolleyes

 

Well the rca to mini jack cable is a mandatory requirement, the area which is somewhat grey is where you plug in the sound connector as per video.

Once you have succesfully connected the vcr, remember that connecting a DVD player or cd player (old turntable) is much the same process.
