Neat so what are you going to use it for Cman?

The power is good, with ample ram etc to achieve anything you want with it from host for site, server, desktop PC, home backup server etc

No, that is NOT enough ram. The cpu is great, but the ram amount is NOT. (though, if only hosting 2 or 3 servers, 'tis okay)

Especially, if you want a lot of VMs. In addition, I'd upgrade to ESXi 4.1 u1. Which allows better linux support and allows 2008r2 and win7 sp1.

Just my humble opinion. Also, I have no idea why you need that. Congrats on the purchase! Hope you have a lot of storage, prefer iSCSI.

All drive bays are filled with with 72 gig drives, 2 separate raid arrays. I honestly have no idea what to use it for, but i do have an ubuntu vm running, and im happier with it then the noisy desktop it replaced. I have no idea about vmware, as this is my first time using it. I will look into the upgrade.

Yeah, ESXi is totally free. Though, if you want to go further, the price is impractical for the typical user. Ye are mostly missing HA and DRS and other things. But, having what ye have, I'm jealous. Though, again, please increase your ram. :)
