   All these new posts requesting help for computer freezing are, what I believe to be, a new variant.
   The freezing appears to be nothing more than disabling of keyboard, mouse & Internet connection.
   I eventually cleared a computer here by running SDFIX (google) after I plugged in USB components.
   Also in this Intel board I had to change in BIOS for "assume PS2 always" instead of "detect PS2".
