I was wondering how good my card is and if its worth upgrading now or to wait. My card is a Visiontek XTASY ATi Radeon 9600 w/ 256mb. I have oc'ed from 324 core to 441 and the memory from 196 to 216. It gets about 45-50fps in Counter Strike.... i am a big ATi fan.... and dont have a huge budget around maybe 200-250$.

    Thanks Guys

    Happy New Years Eve

If I were you, I'd save up for a Socket 939 Motherboard, new CPU, PCI-Express video card, and another 512Mb of RAM. If you don't play many games other than CS:S, a 9600 should do fine.

Personally, this is the next upgrade that I'm looking at:

    Gigabyte K8N-Pro SLI ($106):

    eVGA Geforce 7800 GT ($299):

    AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego ($223):

It's up to you what you do.

If your current system does everything you want, then there is no point changing anything?

    Happy Festivus everyone! :)
