New Windows Service

After the several updates of 8-10-16, I got a notice that a new Windows 10 is available and they called it a 'service' with new features.
Does anyone now anything about this?
If it is available and advisable to obtain, I wonder about future installations for those who upgraded from Win 7>8>8.1>10.
Also, if advisable, where is it available?

It's the anniversary update and it's being pushed out via Windows Update though you can also get it HERE. It does make some changes to Win 10 and in the old days would have been called a service pack. Just allow it to install.

 

When I click on your link the tab says Windows and the page is white. I tried several times.
However, I think you are saying it will be offered in my updates and just accept it if it has not been done already.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Peter, some recent W10 pages seem to be IE/Edge only, other browsers see nothing.

 

It displays OK here in both FFx and Edge peter. What browser are you using? Try it in Edge.

 

You are right, Bernie. Edge worked. I was using Chrome.
Now should I just wait for my updates or download the referral? Did you use this download or are you depending upon updates?
I did not want a duplication.

 

I used the download on two systems but am still waiting for WU on this laptop. I would wait for WU peter, unless you are impatient. It's no big deal.
