Newbie/Pogo question

I can't get into any game at Pogo.com that requires a popup window to open. I get the message that says it's a firewall issue or a proxy server issue. I'm pretty sure it's a proxy server issue. Any way around that? I'm running a 10+ year old computer running Windows NT (remember THAT?). Any help is appreciated.

 

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but do you have any popup blockers running? And what Operating System are you using?

I do have a pop up blocker on there but this happens after I hold the control key to bypass that.

I'm running Windows NT on a very old (10+) computer. This is my work computer connected through a LAN and a main server which is why I suspect a proxy problem.

 

I mis typed. I was asking which Browser you're using. Did you try disabling the blocker to make sure it's not ignoring control?

I usually run Firefox but I know that you can't use that at Pogo so I use IE.

Just a note, I did try accessing Pogo from another computer here that's running XP and connected and played successfully. So now I'm thinking it's more the outdated OS than the proxy or firewall.

I dunno. Guess I'll just have to be happy playing at home.

 

Probably wouldn't look good if the boss caught you at it anyway.
