NewDot & Friends, Trojan war!

Im new to this forum, many thanks for the FAQs, free downloads & help.

I have:
256MB RAM
250GB Int memory
P4 chip, Dell Inspiron

Recently I contracted a virus from Limewire.
It was a bad dl, and .exe file & I went to open it & got sucker punched. I have Norton 2006 but it got through that & has caused trouble:

1. Limewire phantom loads: I shut it down & even uninstalled it but keeps trying to load & giving error messages.

2. NEWDOT~2 was in place. I think I may have killed it.

3. Norton was unable to then do any definition updates (would freeze up).

I followed all of the instructions best I could & have spent 8 hours scrubbing the services & msconfig startup files. Ive hunted down & killed all that I can.

Looking for:
1. I posted my HJT log below
2. Am I clean? If not, how do I get clean?
3. How can I stay clean & not worry about even stupid mistakes costing me 15 hours to fix?

Hi and welcome

First off before we advise on how to stay clean in which we have a superb guide on what steps to take, PLEASE do follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

You have HJT installed and run from the exact location we say not to in this C:\Documents and Settings\Master.OFFICE-1\Desktop\PC Rx\HijackThis1991.exe

We also need the logs from the two other online scans mentioned below.

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
