Newer Acer with battery trouble

    Have an Acer, newer within a year.

    I had the laptop plugged in with power pack and running the laptop most of the time then unplug the laptop running solely from the battery. Within three to five minutes I powered for a reboot with the next screen warning of a low battery and shutting down.

    What is the problem? I had the battery pack on the laptop all night working with the laptop and then after getting home with it and plugged in for a while longer, the battery won't hold to power up after a reboot? Anyone help?

    One of two problems:
    the battery is bad and needs replacing
    the charger is not working and is not charging your battery.

    Unfortunately it is impossible to know which part is broken.
