Newer AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) Virus

    Got home from work today and noticed IM's from a number of people on my buddy list...

    A message saying "Would you mind if I put these pictures of us on my myspace profile? with a link to photobuck.com..."

    I was about to click on it and realized that photobuck is not photobucket so then realized it was likely a virus spreading thru aim that involuntarily IM's everyone on your buddy list...

    I was wondering if there are any fixes out there for this. The more popular these things become the quicker, fixes surface... I'd like to link my friends to this fix so that they don't continue sending me these IM's involuntarily, and so they can clean their computers...

    Well what I would like to say is, why don't you see if you can get on their rediculously lying arse commercial on how great their one click protection is and ask them why this happened if they are so good. ;) But since that would not help you, I will not say it. :D

    I have not heard of this yet. You could try running thru the READ & RUN ME but that may not find anything if it is related to a bug in AIM.

    Okay! Right now I would direct them to the READ & RUN ME. The could also run

    AIM Fix

    which was recently updated. Perhaps it covers this.
