Hi! I would appreciate any information about this software. My neighbor asked me to research this for him. It's way over this old man's head. Any help will be welcome. The little bit of research I did looks like a scam??????

Hi bigbazza! Thanks! I've been on your links. I still don't understand what the software does for me. My neighbor says you down load music and movies ect.
All I see is it has some thing to do with news groups??? I see nothing about music or movies ?? What does the software do for me???:-o:-o:confused

It downloads all kinds of binary content from Usenet. Movies, music,apps, etc. You will need an Usenet provider like Giganews to use it unless his ISP has access to newsgroups.

It's a million time better than torrents since you don't have to upload and expose yourself.

The program itself is safe. The people expecting your neighbor to pay for those movies and music, not so much.

I'm completely illiterate on this. You have to pay someone??? You pay for the software, then you pay for a news group and then you pay someone for the music. Am I missing some thing here?? I'm sorry , but this isn't getting threw my thick skull . This doesn't even sound legal to me. I'm beginning to see why my neighbor wanted me to research this software for him.:-D I'm going to try to understand this better, but I'm damn sure not going to spend my dollars until I understand how this works.

Hi!! Bottom line! Is anyone here on MG using this software??? What is the cost per month?? What can I down load?? Do I have to pay someone every time I down load some thing?? Can you get in trouble with this program?? How do I know some one won't infect me ??? Is this really some thing this old man needs???:confused! Sorry for being so damn dumb, but this is a way I learn. I think it's time my neighbor asks his own dumb queastions.:-D:major

 

I'm not using this either, I do know that newsgroups are part and parcel with pirated material. I don't think your neighbour wants anything to do with that.
