Newsgroups and usernet

    Hi, can someone please explain how usernet works I want to get movies and music I've heard if you join newsgroups and usernet you can get media much faster, I don't understand. whats the differance between forums and newsgroups and how does it all work, my ISP is AOL winxp

    Hmmm ..., interesting discovery: http://forums.techguy.org/networking/652071-newsgroups-usernet.html. I won't comment further on the idea of downloading music and movies. Besides, I'm not familiar with usernet.

    I have "subscribed" to newsgroups, using Outlook Express as a newsgroup reader. Although some newsgroup content has been converted to web format so that it can be viewed via a web browser, a newsgroup reader is normally used to read newsgroup content. I would simply describe newsgroups as special interest discussion groups. Here's a reference: What are newsgroups?
