hello, in the past i have used microsof outlook express, but i amtrying to move away for microsoft products, and am useing an e-mail reader Pegasus Mail. it seems pretty cool but it doesn't have the ability to read newsgroups like outlook does.
so i am looking to see if there are programs for this like a dedicated newreader or something.
i am sure there must be anouther way to mess with newsgroups than outlook express, i just don't know what they are and would be happy with any usefull info on this. thanks

If you can stomach switching from Pegasus Mail, you might want to try Mozilla Thrunderbird.

I haven't really messed with the newsgroup part of it yet, but the email seems to work pretty well.

I know this is a very old thread but it might be of interest to anyone looking for a free newsreader that I have just started using MicroPlanet Gravity and am very impressed by it. It is free, can be used for reading emails and newsgroups, or just newsgroups if you prefer to use a different email client, and can be downloaded from here:
