Morning.i have a nexus 7 tablet and i can't get it to connect to my router. i am with EE broadband.
i have a EE Bright Box fxdfmn router. my PC connects OK, as dos'e my laptop and Samsung phone.
i have all the info off the back of the router , and a card they sent with the box. i have tried putting the p/w.
in every way i can think of, it is all lower case. three words. i have tried all cap's some cap's ,alloneword.
all i get is, authentication problem i have even been on my laptop and phone ,to wifi
to network and clicked on forget. to cancel it then put in the p/w of the router ,and i connect no problem.
so it is the right p/w. why can't i get the nexus to connect.

hope you can help it's driving me mad.

To rule out a problem with your tablet, check if it can connect to your phone via Wi-Fi.

You'll have to consult your phone's manual.
A better option is to check if the tablet can connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot at a coffee shop, restaurant, etc.

I just connected my one phone to the other phone via Wi-Fi.

On your phone, turn on Wi-Fi hotspot or portable Wi-Fi.
Click on it and you'll see the Wi-Fi network name and the password.

On your tablet, open Wi-Fi networks, look for the network name, click on it and enter the password.

Thanks Eldon. just come back from a couple of day's break. the hotel we stayed at had wifi. tried my Nexus ,it worked great.
so it is not my device thats at fault. but what else is there ,except my settings.

You'll have to contact your router's manufacturer and/or your ISP.
Tell both of them the tablet connects to Wi-Fi at a hotspot but not to your router.
