NFS: Most Wanted ATI Graphic Issues

View the picture for the problem...not sure what my problem is called (I'm sure there is a name for it). I've only had this happen with one other game, which was an open-source space shooter, so I just shrugged that off as the games problem. I'm running a Radeon 9800 Pro (5.12 catalyst), with all the settings set to max performance. I tinkered with the settings and had the same problems. What's going wrong here?

The picture doesnt do much justice for my problem. Most of the times you have the lines shooting out of every car and a few times your view ahead is completely obstructed.

 

Could be overheating, improper driver install, or corrupt memory.

 

He said he tinkered with the settings and still had the problems, so you would assume that he tried it off.
