No avg

    About a month ago Leesia helped me get the free AVG, they tell me the trial has expired and I need to buy it now.
    Is that my only option?

    as Leesia from Major G. was downloading it I seen that it was the free version, tho

    I don't know what to tell you. There are two versions: Free and Paid. The paid version has a trial period. If you do not pay at the end of the trial, it will prompt you to pay or you will not be able to update. The free version is free. If you download from the link I gave you, it's free.

    Other than that, I have no idea who Leesia is.

    What version of AVG do you have?

    The link plodr gave you will run on XP. Be sure, as you go through the pages, not to change from the free to the trial edition.
