I have an older Sony Vaio VGN-TX1XP, and it has wording & light for bluetooth & wireless on front with a switch.
But, bluetooth is not shown in control panel, and I cannot detect with a phone.
Firstly, does it have the hardware inside?
If so, how do I add bluetooth stack/software?
Have tried Widcomm, adds the icons but no success.

FYI - I am trying to connect a Kensington notebook mouse Si670m (model # 72271). Note - b4 u suggest, i don't want to have the inconvenience of a dongle, when in theory the pc shoulb have bluetooth.

Have you looked in the BIOS? Perhaps it needs to be enabled in there.

And of course, look in your manual. Manufacturers no longer supply printed manuals but there is either a manual on the computer or on the disk that came with the computer.
